As session Chairman, he will introduce the Symposium Moderator Dame Julia Higgins, Professor of Polymer Science, Imperial College, London, and Vice President of the British Royal Society, as well as our live transatlantic link with Entomologist and Pulitzer Prize winner Edward O. Unique opportunity for Young Scientists

A small group of Young Scientists will closely work with Dame Julia Higgins, Professor of Polymer Science, Imperial College, London, and Vice President of the British Royal Society, our scientist in residence, in order to support her in her tasks:
- reports on discussions,
- analysis of the dialogue,
- preparation of final statement,
- etc.

This work might end up with a publication. If you are interested to participate, we still have a couple of grants available. Register now and do not hesitate to transfer this information to young scientists in your institution.

Abstracts selected

Many thanks to all those who sent us high quality abstracts. The Short Presentations Program is now available here ! To stimulate informal discussions, each participant will receive a booklet with the abstracts.

New session of Round Table Debate & Working Lunch

The call for short statements met with a resounding response. Your input was of such high quality that we have decided to create an additional session. A number of your abstracts have been chosen to provide the basis for the Round Table Debate, taking place during a working lunch hour, on Friday September 15th, between sessions 2 and 3. The abstracts selected are to be found in the program available here.

Social program

Enjoy the atmosphere and beauty of the world renowned Swiss alpine resort of Crans-Montana while building your network! The WKD Symposium Gala dinner of the 15th September, will be preceded by a unique and unforgettable experience with the musical duo "Jael": Coline Pellaton, violinist and singer and Thierry Chatelain, accordionist, will take us on a magical journey to explore a melodic dialogue between jazz, classical, tzigan and medieval music.
