Mark M. Freed
Biographical Information

Mark M. Freed is Associate Professor, Department of English, Central Michigan University, Michigan, USA. Professor Freed teaches literary and cultural theory, European literature and the history of literary criticism at Central Michigan University. His research is focused on the shapes and problems of knowledge production in the contemporary moment, especially the relation between scientific, literary, philiosophical, and other modes of understanding. He is currently working on a book which situates Austrian novelist Robert Musil within the trajectories of modernity and postmodernity. Parts of this project have been published in the journals Angelaki, Symplokē, and Comparative Literature Studies.
