WORLD KNOWLEDGE DIALOGUE - 14 au 17 octobre 2012 Original Event
Medicine, Literature and the Web 14/17.10.2012 The next World Knowledge Dialogue workshop will be held at Villars-sur-Ollon (Switzerland) 14/17 October 2012. It will foster interdisciplinary discussions around medicine, literature and the digital humanities. The goal is to bring together IT experts, physicians and literary scholars in order to work on the concrete elaboration of a digital database in the field of medicine and literature. It will be a unique opportunity to observe, analyse and shed light on the conceptual presuppositions which drive or interfere with the debate. Elles portent sur l’interdisciplinarité entre la médecine et la littérature, et s’inscrivent dans le courant des digital humanities. Elles rassembleront des concepteurs IT, des médecins et des littéraires autour de l’élaboration d’une base de données web «médecine et littérature ». Cet exercice pratique constituera un terrain d’observation exceptionnel pour débusquer, expliciter et discuter les présupposés conceptuels qui animent ou parasitent l’interdisciplinarité entre ces deux cultures.
